Abstract

The purpose of this document is to discern the main principles on which Public International Law and International Human Rights Law are based. To analyze whether jus cogens norms can accept reservations, taking as an example a case applicable to the Mexican state. Through a conceptual analysis of these branches of the law and the ways in which they are related, thus finding the point of divergence between them both by considering their own sources recognized in international conventions and legal doctrines.
