Abstract

The text analyzes the visit of the YouTuber Luisito Comunica to the Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT) in El Salvador, highlighting its function as a symbol of Nayib Bukele's policy against gangs. The strict discipline in the prison, international criticism and the contrast with democratic systems that prioritize human rights are highlighted, which generates debate on the effectiveness of government models in Latin America. The author questions through his work whether democracy is still the best option for social and economic stability, proposing to respect the sovereignty of El Salvador in its political decisions.
