Abstract

In this essay we carry out a detailed analysis of the three most important schools of thought or theories of law: iusnaturalism, iuspositivism and neoconstitutionalism, in such a way that, by understanding each one of them and their different bifurcations, we can identify their agreements and disagreements. To achieve this we appeal to Uruguayan law, especially to those constitutional concepts that allow us to understand that a certain school of thought can be followed if the ideals embodied in the founding norm are in accordance with the principles of such ideological trend.
