THE HUMAN RIGHT TO DIE WITH DIGNITY
Keywords:
Dignity, human rights, autonomy, dignified death, euthanasiaAbstract
Dying with dignity is a human right that translates into considering the person as the center of decision, respecting their autonomy, and complying with their wishes until the end of their lives. There are various ways to protect the dignity of a person in his last moments, for example: euthanasia, assisted suicide, advanced will, the health representative, among other figures. The right to die with dignity is not a synonym of euthanasia, but a way of guaranteeing the decent treatment that a terminally ill person deserves
